Assessments
We offer a complete health & lifestyle assessment as well as several condition-specific assessments for your health professional or nutritional consultant to personalize a supplement program for you. Read about our assessments below and you will be able to choose the one that is right for you when you start your assessment.
Complete Health & Lifestyle Assessment
This is our most comprehensive assessment and makes supplement and health recommendations based on your:
- Lifestyle and diet
- Genetic predispositions and functional health
- Cholesterol biomarkers (optional)
- Family medical history and current medical conditions
- Prescription Information (see Drug Interactions)
If your health professional or nutritional consultant has not specified an assessment for you to take, we recommend you start with this assessment.
Joint Support Assessment
This assessment focuses on joint pain caused by osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis of weight bearing joints (knees, hips, back). This assessment uses WOMAC (Western Ontario Mac Master), a validated medical questionnaire designed specifically for the assessment of lower extremity pain and lifestyle function in persons with osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee or hip. It is considered an excellent tool to monitor the course of lower body joint disease or to determine the effectiveness of interventions.
This assessment also takes into consideration any joint pain drugs you may be taking. Our recommendations augment the benefits of your medications by:
- supplying the nutritional building blocks needed for the repair and rebuilding of your joints
- replenishing the nutrients depleted by joint pain drugs
- minimizing the risk of joint pain drug related side effects
Cholesterol Support Assessment
This assessment uses the cholesterol figures from your lab results and several other questions to assess the nutritional support you need to help manage your cholesterol levels.
- Supplements along with changes in diet and lifestyle can normalize cholesterol values in almost everybody; without any of the side effects associated with cholesterol lowering drugs.
- The benefits of supplementation can often result in a decrease in dose (or even sometimes the ability to discontinue use) of cholesterol lowering drugs.
- Supplements can replenish nutrients depleted by cholesterol-lowering medications; reducing risk for drug side effects that occur as a result of deficiencies in critical nutrients.
Immune Support Assessment
To help you strengthen your immune system to reduce the chances of catching a cold or flu, our Immune Support Assessment:
- Helps you understand what lifestyle factors might be increasing your risk of getting a cold or flu
- Helps you understand what nutritional support might improve your immune system's cold & flu response
- Helps ensure the Flu Shot works for you
- Screen out supplements that may not be safe or appropriate for you
