How Our System Works
Our program is simple, straightforward and designed to capture the essential information from each patient, as efficiently as possible and report on it to you, the health practitioner in a way that enables swift, concise understanding and clarifies the evidence-based lifestyle and nutrition action steps that can readily be taken.
It does require some time from each patient to ensure the appropriate information is captured. Positioned properly, using our patient education and orientation materials as guided, (in our Integration Guidebook) the majority of patients recognize the importance and appreciate your thoroughness and added professionalism.
Studies confirm that most patients today want to be able to communicate with their health practitioners via email and our system enables this like no other. It provides you with instant internet access to each patient’s file, no matter where you or they are when they require your feedback and direction.
Accurate, thorough assessment completion enables our nutrition and lifestyle rules engine to support you, the health practitioner, to support each of your patient’s healthcare at a new level, especially nutritionally.
Our patient education and orientation materials provide each patient with your personal log-in code, where they create a user account, and are guided through the completion of the following steps:
Assessment
It begins by filling out a health assessment which takes 30-40 minutes. This is the most time consuming part of the process. There is an optional context of participation questionnaire followed by compulsory core assessment. Unless you tell your patient otherwise, they are encouraged to complete them both, especially if they are a new patient.
Review Results and Provide Feedback
When the assessment is completed our rules engine generates concise summaries of the assessments completed, which facilitates your timely review. It also generates a personal Feedback Report, complete with summaries of their assessment responses and associated implications. Following review of their personal Feedback Report, they are presented with 5 Personal Nutrient Plans to choose from, varying in cost and comprehensiveness. Once their selection is made, they are presented with their preliminary nutrient profile, complete with the combination of supplements that evidence-based research and extensive clinical feedback with thousands of patients indicate. We refer it to as “preliminary” because of course it is, as you, the health practitioner has yet to review it in the context of their additional clinical findings, and make any modifications indicated.
Where your professional training and clinical experience has not equipped you to make the clinical nutrition recommendations, Health Coach will partner you with one of our highly qualified Nutritional Consultants to make these distinctions. It is still important for you, as their health practitioner and primary contact, to review each patient’s assessment for completeness and accuracy. This is especially important with respect to their medical condition and medication inputs.
Patients are presented online with the function buttons and links to review the justifications and specific product info for the formulas indicated, and given the ability to add or remove supplements and adjust the number of inclusions along with the overall price of their program.
Each then has the opportunity to provide you, their health practitioner, along with our nutritional consultants (as appropriate) with any additional comments. If they have a specific budget in mind, further feedback or questions, or simply want to limit the number of supplements to take, recording such will ensure they are taken into account.
The next step requires them to enter their personal contact and shipping information, should they eventually request an order. No order will ever be placed without their express permission to do so.
Nutrition Consultant Contacts Patient to Finalize Any Order
Once their feedback has been submitted, you, their health professional will review it (along with our nutrition consultant, where appropriate). Recommendations will be made and sent to the patient for review and to enable any further feedback. If a personalized nutritional program is agreed upon, and authorization is given, their Personalized Nutrient Program is forwarded online to our production facility, and tailor made for them.
When an order is placed, it is run on our automated packeting equipment and is typically ready to ship within the next 72 hours and sent directly to the patient via ground UPS. The patient receives a 30, 60 or 90 day supply (as selected by them) of their customized supplements, pre-packaged for each day, with packets to take in the morning and evening. They also begin to receive our health bulletins and newsletters containing valuable nutritional information that support your product sales, ethically, and continue to build your identity as the Health and Wellness Expert your patients and community are looking for.
As our solution is customized, we recommend that patients retake the test ~ every 3-4 months so that they are always getting the nutrients tailored to their current health and lifestyle conditions, and seasonal variations in select nutrient needs can be factored in.
