Why Personalization is Critical

Every one of us is different when it comes to what support we need to function effectively and maintain our health. Clearly, when it comes to nutrition and lifestyle support “one size does not fit all”. Have you ever read books, or attended courses or seminars, from a purported ‘expert’, yet finished it and found it less than consistent with other ‘expert’ advice? Did it still leave you wondering:

  • Which do I need, let alone my patients?
  • How do I determine more precisely what my personal requirements are?
  • How much of any one might be too much?
  • Can anything be potentially harmful to me or my patients?
  • Should those pregnant or taking medications do something different?

These questions are both relevant and highly important, yet have remained largely unanswered for virtually all who are honest with themselves. Even our medical team, with decades invested in study, research and clinical trials with thousands of patients, found themselves unable to answer these questions effectively and efficiently prior to developing our web-based support systems.

You may or may not have known that taking too much of a nutritional supplement (even if “completely natural”) can be just as harmful as taking too little. (See our Health Bulletin on Optimal Dosage).

Even if you did know this, there has been no reasonable way for you to safeguard your patients (or you and your loved ones) from the over-nutrition that is commonplace today.

There has been a growing body of scientific evidence on optimal dosages, but it’s been largely ignored by the industry and common over-the-counter products often contain potentially harmful dosages, especially when several different supplement formulas are used at the same time (a common practice today). This is especially concerning with specific medical conditions and where medications are being used, as consequences can be serious. Even the design of many products developed for use within the practices of highly trained nutritional consultants lends itself to dangerous over-prescribing.

To safeguard those who use our system we personalize nutrition and lifestyle recommendations based on individual assessment of:

  • Lifestyle and diet
  • Genetic predispositions and functional health
  • Family medical history and current medical conditions
  • Prescription Information (see Drug Interactions) …and more

We make our supplement recommendations and lifestyle feedback specific to individual needs and safeguards. And for each recommendation, we show you and your patient the evidence-base behind it, referring back to individual assessment responses and specifying the appropriate dosages that are safe and effective for you.
